HK Phil Principal Bassoon Benjamin Moermond, together with pianist Anson Wong, treats us to a beautiful bassoon recital of music from Eugène Bozza, Ludwig Milde and Victor Bruns. Anson studied bassoon with Benjamin before, which makes this performance very precious, hearing two talents with a longstanding musical partnership. To conclude the programme, HK Phil contra-bassoonist Adam Treverton Jones joins in Bozza’s Duettino for Two Bassoons, a delightful and playful piece that showcases the virtuosity of the bassoonists.
