Conducting Masterclass
Each season, guest conductors host masterclasses designed specifically for aspiring local conducting students. It is a fantastic opportunity for young conductors to hone their skills and learn from the best in the industry.
Application is now open! Aspiring orchestral conductors aged 25 or below are welcome to join.

Application Requirements
- Maximum age 25
- Fulltime Hong Kong student
- Passionate to be a conductor
Application Guide
- Upload two videos of yourself conducting an orchestra onto YouTube, and set them either to “Public” or “Unlisted” (but not “Private”)
- Video 1: Live performance or run-through of a piece longer than 5 minutes
- Video 2: A 15-minute extract of the rehearsal of the same piece
- The orchestra should be either of these: symphony orchestra, string orchestra, wind band (ie. symphonic band, concert band, wind ensemble, or wind orchestra)
- These forms of ensemble are not eligible: choir (vocal), handbell choir
- Complete this online application form and include the links to your audition videos in it
