Principal Patron

The HK Phil gratefully acknowledges its Principal Patron, Swire, for its support of the orchestra's artistic and educational missions.

In April 2006, Swire became the HK Phil’s first Principal Patron, supporting the growth, development and promotion of the orchestra, under the direction of Music Director Jaap van Zweden. Through this sponsorship, which is the largest in the orchestra's history, Swire also endeavours to promote artistic excellence, foster access to classical music and stimulate cultural participation in Hong Kong and Mainland China, and to enhance Hong Kong's reputation as one of the great cities of the world.
