The HK Phil has been at the heart of the musical and artistic life of Hong Kong for over four decades, bringing great music into the community. One of the world's most sought-after conductors, Maestro Jaap van Zweden, has been Music Director of the orchestra since 2012; he is also the current Music Director of the New York Philharmonic. He sees the orchestra's commitment to artistic excellence, as well as its development in education and outreach programmes, as a means of embracing the entire community.

Throughout the season, the HK Phil presents more than 30 programmes showcasing major international artists and conductors. Sponsorship packages can be tailored to fit your company strategies.
The Community Concerts are part of the long-running community engagement programme of the HK Phil. We reach out to the community by presenting admission-free concerts in various residential districts, providing easy access to world-class orchestral music for the public of Hong Kong. In the past, these concerts have seen the HK Phil reach out to Tuen Mun, Tsuen Wan, Sheung Shui and Tung Chung. The admission-free annual concerts attract more than 3,000 audience members from the local community.
Not only do we bring music to people living in different districts, we also invite local schools and organisations to collaborate with the orchestra at the Community Concerts.
The HK Phil has education and outreach community projects which make classical music accessible to local students, the disabled, and the underprivileged, through over 80 free performances every year. These project would not be possible without the support of corporations and foundations.
