Rome Concert

Join conductor Jaap van Zweden for an exuberant music journey. In the HK Phil commissioned work Asterismal Dance by Daniel Lo, distinctive musical materials traverse the different instrumental sections of the orchestra non-linearly, like the scattered stars in the sky. Rachmaninov’s dazzling Paganini Rhapsody exhibits the brilliance of Alexandre Kantorow, winner of the International Tchaikovsky Competition. Mahler’s monumental Symphony no. 1 concludes the concert with its rich and colourful sonic palette that stands the test of time.
