Tarmo Peltokoski conducts Wagner

Programme
Dutch composer and arranger Henk de Vlieger, best known for his masterful arrangement of Richard Wagner’s music dramas into orchestral show pieces. Tarmo Peltokoski returns to Hong Kong stage, performing The Ring: an Orchestral Adventure that retells the epic Ring tetralogy with all the orchestral splendour. A wild adventure of a different kind will begin the concert, with Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals featuring The Jussen Brothers.
The concert runs approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes with an intermission.
Change of Conductor & ProgrammeThe concert “Jaap & The Jussen Brothers” at Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall on 27 & 28 Jun 2025 has been retitled to “Tarmo Peltokoski conducts Wagner”. The HK Phil is pleased that Tarmo Peltokoski will return to conduct this week with a new programme – Saint-Saëns’ The Carnival of the Animals and Wagner’s The Ring: An Orchestral Adventure (arr. Henk de Vlieger).
Jaap van Zweden will conduct the newly-added concert, titled "Happy Evening with The Jussen Brothers", at Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall on 3 Jul 2025, 7:45pm, alongside The Jussen Brothers.
