Acclaimed Lithuanian violinist Julian Rachlin returns to Hong Kong with Brahms’ Violin Concerto, known for its understated virtuosity and Hungarian flavour. In the second half, Singaporean conductor Kahchun Wong, who will be Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor of the Hallé from the 2024/25 season, leads the HK Phil in Bartók’s popular Concerto for Orchestra – a masterpiece which shows off each instrumental section.
The concert runs approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, with an intermission.
