Concert Cancellation

In view of the latest development of COVID-19, the advertised performances of “From The New World Symphony in Images” at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall on 18 & 19 Feb 2022 have therefore been cancelled.

Refund Arrangement for Tickets Purchase through URBTIX
(applicable those purchased at outlets, internet, mobile app or telephone bookings)

In line with current social distancing measures imposed by the Government, the Hong Kong Cultural Centre is temporarily closed until 20 Apr. The original period for cash refund arranged by LCSD is deferred subsequently.

In order to speed up the refund procedures, cash refund arrangement will be cancelled. Application for refunds is NOW opened and all refunds will be processed via bank transfer by the HK Phil directly.

For ticket holders of the cancelled performances, please CLICK HERE for the available options and submit your preferred ticket arrangement on or before 30 Apr 2022.

Tickets purchased through POPTICKET and ticketflap

The related refund has been deposited automatically into the credit card that was used for the original payment by the corresponding ticketing service providers at the end of Jan.

When European composers travelled to America, they were torn between wonder at the New World and nostalgia for the old. Rachmaninov captured the glitter and the energy of America, and pianist Chiyan Wong is our soloist today. Dvořák, meanwhile, poured all his emotion into a symphony that overflows with melody: visuals by Tobias Melle will help bring his story to life. And conductor Wilson Ng begins with two dazzling fanfares by one of America’s greatest living composers, the inimitable John Adams.

The concert runs approximately 1.5 hours with an intermission.

For standard tickets, the general public can enjoy up to 10% off, while Club Bravo members are entitled up to an exclusive 20% off for ticket purchases.

II. Admission Details:

Except for exempted persons*, all persons will be required to use "LeaveHomeSafe" mobile application to scan the venue QR code before they are allowed to enter the venue
All exempted persons* are required to complete a record form to register their names, the first four digits or letters of their identification documents, their contact numbers and the date and time of their visits. They are also required to present relevant identification documents for verification at the request of the staff on-site during registration. The staff will also verify the contact numbers by making phone calls
Masks must be worn throughout the venue and the concert hall
Temperature check is arranged at designated entrances
Use the disinfectant dispensers
Always keep social distancing
Your seat may be adjusted to meet the requirements of preventive measures
Persons with symptoms of illness and people who have been in contact with COVID-19 patients within the last 14 days may not attend the performance

*Exempted persons include: (i) those who are aged below 12 or aged 65 or above; (ii) those with disabilities that render use of the app difficult; and (iii) individuals who have been granted exemptions based on actual circumstances
