Vance Lee (On sabbatical leave)

Currently Associate Principal Bassoon, Vance Lee has joined the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra since the 2000/01 season. He also served as Principal Bassoon with the Hartford Symphony and the Connecticut Opera, both in the United States, where he was born and raised.

 

Festival appearances include the 1990, 1991 and 1992 Blossom Music Festivals, at which Lee performed several times with the Cleveland Orchestra. After receiving a degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music where he studied with David McGill until 1993, he appeared with the National Repertory Orchestra (1994), the Sir Georg Solti Orchestral Project at Carnegie Hall (1994) and at Tanglewood (1996).
