Tae-mi Song
Tae-mi studied with Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt and Troels Svane in Luebeck, Germany, and with Leonard Stehn at Guildhall School of Music in London. As well as her versatile career working with renowned orchestras such as BBC and London Philharmonic, she has dedicated a great part of her musical life to chamber music. At the age of eleven she was the youngest participant to be selected by members of Amadeus Quartet for the ESTA String Quartet Festival and was subsequently invited to work intensively with ensembles such as Takacs and Belcea Quartets.
Since being appointed to HKPhil in 2015, she has enjoyed programming a HKPhil cello section concert for the HKU Muse series, and has also performed as a soloist and chamber musician at JC Contemporary Tai Kwun, City Hall and Freespace West Kowloon.
