Terms & Conditions for “Cathay Proudly Sponsors: Joe Hisaishi in Concert”

NOTES ON ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR TICKET BALLOT

  1. Tickets for all the performances of the “Cathay Proudly Sponsors: Joe Hisaishi in Concert” (“Joe Hisaishi in Concert”) are purchased online under a ticket ballot and real-name ticketing system.
  2. All applications of the online ticket ballot within the registration period (i.e. from 10AM on 22 May to 8PM on 24 May) will have an equal chance of being awarded from the random ballot. Each person will be eligible to register for just one ballot.
  3. Each applicant must provide their English full name during registration. The name should be identical to that on their valid photo ID. The applicant must also provide the first 6 and last 4 digits of the credit card used for purchase and contact details. These information will be used for registration, ticket purchases and admission verification. 
  4. Registration will be deemed successful only after the applicant receives the confirmation email.
  5. The applicant will automatically become the main ticket-holder, whose English full name will be printed on the first ticket. Their valid photo ID must be presented for verification upon admission. In case of dispute during admission, the venue staff reserve the right to deny entry without a refund. Persons must be aged 6 or above to participate in the ballot. Ticket-holders between ages of 6 and 11 (inclusive), whose HKID cards have no photos, can use either their travel documents (with a photo and a matching English full name) or their student handbook or student ID card (with photo) as their valid photo ID for verification purposes.  
  6. Those needing to update their registered information may do so by re-registering online during the registration period (i.e. from 10AM on 22 May to 8PM on 24 May). The ticket ballot will proceed using the latest information provided by the applicant, and all previous registration records will be voided.
  7. No information changes will be allowed after the online registration period (i.e. after 8PM on 24 May). This includes but not limited to the names to be printed on the ticket and the credit card for ticket purchase.
  8. Should you encounter any problem with the online registration, please email urbtix@maoyan.com.hk or call URBTIX’s Ticketing Enquiries and Customer Service hotline at (852) 3166 1100 for assistance. Office hours are between 10AM and 8PM, Monday to Sunday (including public holidays).


NOTES ON SUCCESSFUL BALLOT AND REAL-NAME TICKET PURCHASES

  1. Definition of successful applicants and waiting list: Every successful registrant (based on the latest information provided by the same applicant) will have an equal chance of being awarded from the random ballot. The result of the ballot will be announced on the “What’s New” page of URBTIX website (urbtix.hk/latest-news) and HK Phil website at 10AM on 29 May.
  2. Successful registrants can enter their “registration reference number” on the website to check if their application is successful. Each successful applicant will also receive a confirmation email, which contains a designated link for ticket purchase and the related terms and conditions. All unsuccessful applicants will automatically be put on the waiting list. If there are still unpurchased tickets after 1 JUN, the system will send an email to successful waiting list applicants according to the sequence of the ballot result on 5 JUN. The email will contain a designated link for ticket purchase and the related terms and conditions.
  3. With the link provided in the email, successful applicants must purchase tickets by logging on to URBTIX’s “Joe Hisaishi in Concert” webpage within the stipulated period [i.e. 10AM on 1 June (Successful applicant) and 10AM on 8 June (Successful waiting list applicant)]. Those who fail to purchase tickets within the stipulated period will be regarded as having forfeited their right of ticket purchase without further notice.
  4. Successful applicants must complete the transaction within the time limit (15 minutes) using their registered credit card. Each person can purchase a maximum of two tickets.
  5. If the successful applicant wants to purchase more than one ticket, the English full name of the fellow ticket-holder must be provided at the time of purchase. The name must match that on his/her photo ID and will be printed on the ticket.
  6. Besides paying the ticket prices, successful applicants have to pay a service charge of HK$9 for each ticket purchased. All service charges are non-refundable.
  7. Applicants must check that the names on the tickets are correct before making payments. If the venue staff find that the name on the ticket is incorrect, they reserve the right to deny entry of the ticket-holder, and there will be no refund for the ticket prices and related service charges.
  8. All sold tickets are non-transferable. Upon confirmation, changes of performance and amendment of ticket-holder name is not allowed. Ticket-holders who are unable to attend the concert may apply for a refund of half of the ticket face value (no refund of any service charges) from 14 to 16 June with the presentation of their intact physical tickets at the URBTIX Ticketing Office located at Level 9, Administration Building, Hong Kong Cultural Centre during office hours (Monday to Friday, 9AM-1PM and 2-6PM). The refund will be made in the form of crossed cheque by post later. The returned tickets will be available for public purchase at URBTIX's "Joe Hisaishi in Concert" webpage on 20 June 10AM.
  9. Should there be any unpurchased or returned tickets, the remaining tickets will be available for public purchase together with the wheelchair seat tickets (if any) under a real-name ticketing system on URBTIX website or via UBRITX mobile ticketing app at 10AM on the concert days (i.e. 22, 23 and 24 June).
  10. All sold tickets for the performances of "Joe Hisaishi in Concert" are non-transferable. Upon confirmation, changes of performance and amendment of ticket-holder name is not allowed.
  11. In case of lost tickets, a customer should report to the police and contact URBTIX’s ticketing enquiries and customer services hotline at least 3 working days before the performance date. URBTIX shall issue a “Non-delivery / Report Lost of Ticket” letter with the customer’s name, identity document number and police lost report reference number to the customer. The customer is required to bring along the said letter for admission to the performance, whereas the admission of which is subject to the absolute discretion of the venue staff.


NOTES ON REAL-NAME ADMISSION

  1. To ensure all audience members can be admitted smoothly before the concert, all ticket-holders must arrive at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall at the latest by 90 minutes (i.e. 6:30PM) before the advertised concert time for identity verification. Late-comers might not be admitted and there will be no refund.
  2. All ticket-holders are requested to present their valid photo ID for identity check during admission. Valid photo IDs only include: HKID cards and travel documents (such as passports) with a photo, and the English full name must be identical to that printed on the ticket. Any ticket-holders who fail to present a valid photo ID with a matching name printed on the ticket or the appearance of the ticket-holder is not matched with the photo on the photo ID will not be admitted without a refund.
  3. Ticket-holders between ages of 6 and 11 (inclusive), whose HKID cards have no photos, can use either their travel documents (with a photo and a matching English full name) or their student handbook or student ID card (with photo) as their valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  4. Wheelchair seat ticket-holders must provide proof of mobility difficulties for verification. Proof of mobility difficulties includes only a "Registration Card for People with Disabilities" (Physical Disability) or other valid medical documentary proof showing physical disability or mobility difficulties. The minder must enter the venue at the same time to prove its accompanying status.
  5. No refund will be offered to the ticket-holder who cannot admit due to the failure of the provision of identification.
  6. A token of identification will be provided to ticket-holders who have successfully verified their identity. These ticket-holders can be admitted to the concert by presenting the token and the ticket.

 

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. The presenter Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) has authorised URBTIX to organise the ticket ballot.
  2. All registrants of the ballot and ticket-holders must read, understand and agree to the balloting registration procedure, the ticket purchase arrangement and the admission requirements.
  3. Registrants must check and ensure that the submitted information is correct. If there is any incorrect or false information, the HK Phil and UBRTIX may abolish their right to the ticket ballot.
  4. The English full names of the persons used during registration and ticket purchase will be printed on the ticket. Once printed, the names cannot be changed. The main ticket-holder is responsible for checking the names on the tickets during registration and ticket purchase. Ticket-holders must present their valid photo ID for verification upon admission. Any ticket-holder who fails to present his/her valid photo ID matching the name printed on the ticket and the appearance of the ticket-holder will be denied entry without a refund. The HK Phil and its Partner (including but not limited to URBTIX and venue management) shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by the ticket-holder.
  5. The only valid photo IDs are valid HKID cards and travel documents (such as passports). Ticket-holders between ages of 6 and 11 (inclusive), whose HKID cards have no photos, can use either their travel documents (with a photo and a matching English full name) or their student handbook or student ID card (with photo) as their valid photo ID for verification purposes.
  6. Wheelchair seat tickets are designated for persons who depend on wheelchairs for mobility and their accompanying minders. If a wheelchair seat ticket-holder fails to provide proof of mobility difficulties, the venue staff has the right to refuse admission without a refund. Proof of mobility difficulties includes only a "Registration Card for People with Disabilities" (Physical Disability) or other valid medical documentary proof showing physical disability or mobility difficulties. The minder must enter the venue at the same time to prove its accompanying status.
  7. Children under 6 cannot participate in the ticket ballot or be granted admission.
  8. This ticket ballot and real-name ticketing arrangement is legally binding. Should HK Phil and its Partner (including but not limited to URBTIX and venue management)  observe or suspect any illegal behaviour (including but not limited to appropriation of another person’s identity or presentation of forged identity documents), the presenter will void the person’s right of ticket ballot, ticket purchase and concert admission, and reserves the right to take legal action as appropriate. No refunds will be made either to the tickets or to the service charge.
  9. When the ticket registration period ends (i.e. after 8PM on 24 May), no registration information can be changed, including he names of the ticket-holders printed on the tickets and the credit card used for purchase.
  10. All links in the emails are unique and can only be used once. Do not forward to other people. The HK Phil and URBTIX are not liable for any loss or damage due to failure to purchase tickets during the stipulated period caused by such forwards or other inappropriate actions.
  11. The HK Phil and URBTIX will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by failure to register during the stipulated period, incorrect information or any errors caused by computers or transmission of information.
  12. All sold tickets are non-transferable. Changes of performance and amendment of ticket-holder name is not allowed upon confirmation.  Ticket-holders who are unable to attend the concert may apply for a refund of half of the ticket face value (no refund of any service charges) from 14 to 16 June 2023 with presentation of their tickets at the URBTIX Ticketing Office located at Level 9, Administration Building, Hong Kong Cultural Centre during office hours (Monday to Friday, 9AM-1PM and 2-6PM). No refund arrangement will be made after 6PM on 16 June.
  13. Successful applicants shall pay the ticket price and a service charge of HK$9 for each ticket when purchase. The service charge is imposed by URBTIX and is non-refundable.
  14. The HK Phil reserves the right to change the programmes or artists without notice or refund.
  15. The HK Phil reserves all rights of final arbitration in case of any dispute.
