Praised by BBC Music Magazine for his “wonderfully imaginative playing”, star Chinese cellist Jian Wang will perform “Flowing Sleeves”, a very lyrical concerto composed in 2018 by the Chinese composer, Zhou Tian. Jian Wang and his cello take on a very different role in Strauss’ famous tone poem, where they portray the antics of the tall, dreamy and mad Don Quixote.
