ELGARVariations on an Original Theme Enigma

Rachmaninov’s masterpiece, his third piano concerto, brims with Russian pianistic passion. We welcome young Uzbek pianist Behzod Abduraimov to perform it. The Variations on an Original Theme Enigma form a series of loving portraits of Elgar’s friends and family, from the boisterous dog Dan to the heartfelt nobility of his dearest friend, ‘Nimrod’.
