In our third Beethoven anniversary concert, Maestro Jaap van Zweden brings us the composer’s most famous and popular work, the Fifth Symphony.  Whether the opening signifies “Fate” (as some would have it) or the call of the “Yellow Hammer” in the woods above Vienna (as Beethoven himself is reported to have suggested), only you can decide when you hear it live.  The concert also features Hong Kong pianist Rachel Cheung and soprano Louise Kwong, in the Rondo Beethoven originally intended for his Piano Concerto no. 2 and "Ah perfido!" for Soprano and Orchestra.
