The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra will kick off its 50th professional season with a tour in Nanjing and Shanghai. Renowned violinist Tianwa Yang will perform Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto, an emblem of the early Romantic era. Music Director Jaap van Zweden will lead the orchestra in a rendition of Mendelssohn’s overture and Italian symphony, filling the concert halls with blazing colours and sunbeams.
