MusicWeb International praised German violinist Frank Peter Zimmermann for his “sparkling technique and clear tone”, while the BBC Music Magazine noted how he matches “technical mastery at the highest level with profound insight”.  Zimmermann is one of the major violinists of our day who first recorded the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto over 30 years ago and stands today as one of the work’s leading interpreters.  Hear him bring his long association with this marvellous work to the HK Phil stage.
