When Emanuel Ax appears on stage, you know the concert will be magisterial, heart-rending and unique. In these concerts he brings Beethoven’s most serene and confident concerto to Hong Kong. Ravel’s sensual masterpiece, Daphnis et Chloé, has been called ‘hyper-erotic’ – featuring dazzling effects for the massed forces of the HK Phil and Chorus, these concerts mark our first complete performances of this great ballet.
