Elegance of Strings – HK Phil Chamber Concert

HK Phil String Ensemble will soon embark on a journey to perform elegant chamber music at the Beijing Art Centre Concert Hall. The orchestra's Concertmaster Jing Wang, Second Associate Concertmaster Wang Liang, Principal Viola Andrew Ling and Principal Cello Richard Bamping will first present Russian composer Shostakovich's String Quartet no. 8 in C minor, which depicts deep and sad images, to mark the commencement of the concert. Next, Hong Kong’s renowned pianist Warren Lee will perform with the HK Phil String ensemble, concluding this emotional and gripping performance with Czech composer Dvořák’s Bohemian-style Piano Quintet in A major.
