The Music
Written by the Georgian bass player Giorgi Makhoshvili for the bass ensemble Bassiona Amorosa, these two pieces set folk and pop-inspired melodies to complex and playful rhythms. Organic contrasts a Georgian dance groove in 7/8 time with a lilting interlude inspired by Georgian drinking songs. Disco speaks for itself – a fun, funky flashback to the 70s.
