“The course of true love never did run smooth,” wrote Shakespeare – but that makes it all the more fun to watch! Usher in the summer with a concert of madcap fun, as jilted lovers, magic potions, and fairy mischief mingle with Mendelssohn’s most inspired music for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, starring renowned Shakespearean actors, the ladies of the HK Phil Chorus, and the genius of Shakespeare. This all-Mendelssohn programme also features three of the composer’s motet settings and The Fair Melusine.
