PROKOFIEVSymphony no. 1, Classical
BEETHOVENViolin Concerto

Continuing the 250th anniversary celebration of the birth of Beethoven, the HK Phil pays tribute to the great composer during his birthday week with HK Phil Concertmaster Jing Wang performing Beethoven’s sublime Violin Concerto. One of the greatest violin concertos ever written, Beethoven’s one-and-only violin concerto is a work which makes no compromise for soloist or listener – its arrival changed the idea of a concerto forever. The concert also includes Prokofiev’s lively and jovial "Classical" symphony, directed by HK Phil Resident Conductor Lio Kuokman.

This concert runs an hour approximately, without an intermission.
