The famous Yellow River Piano Concerto was first presented before Premier Zhou Enlai on Chinese New Year’s Day in 1970. After more than 40 years, it is probably the best-known Chinese symphonic work, and we hear it performed by Hong Kong pianist Warren Lee. Renowned Chinese soprano Huang Ying sings a selection of Chinese art songs.
