Benedikt Fohr
Benedikt Fohr has been the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) since April 2019.
Before joining the HK Phil, Benedikt was the Orchestra Manager (CEO) of Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern for 12 years and was highly regarded for his long-term commitment to the orchestra. Previously, he was the General Director of the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, Secretary General of the Camerata Salzburg and Managing Director of the Ensemble Research Freiburg.
Benedikt was educated in Germany and holds an MBA from the University of Mannheim. He studied the violin and viola until the age of 18. Since then, he enjoys performing occasionally with amateur orchestras and playing chamber music. In 2021 he joined the SAR Philharmonic Orchestra.
