Allen Fung

Dr Fung is an Executive Director of Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd and the CEO of its non-property businesses.  He is also a Deputy Chairman of SmarTone Holdings, a Vice-Chairman of SUNeVision Holdings, both listed in the main board in Hong Kong.  Dr Fung is also a Director of Transport International Holdings (the listed holding company of Kowloon Motor Bus).

Before joining Sun Hung Kai Properties, Dr Fung was a director of McKinsey and Company, the global consulting company.  He was the managing partner of McKinsey Hong Kong for many years.

Dr Fung also participates in public service and charity activities. He is the Vice President for the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. He is a member of the General Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and was elected a Professor of Practice at the Hong Kong Management Association. He is also a board member of the Hong Kong Tourism Board and a member of the Museum Advisory Committee of Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

Dr Fung graduated from Oxford University (Modern History) and has a PhD from Harvard University in History and East Asian Languages.  He was a Guggenheim Fellow and taught at Brown University as an assistant professor.
