Winnie Tam

Ms Tam is the Chairman of the Communications Authority and former Chairman (2015-2017) of the Hong Kong Bar Association.  As a Senior Counsel, Independent International Arbitrator and Mediator in private practice she is known for her expertise in intellectual property and civil commercial dispute resolution. She holds the judicial appointment of Recorder of the Court of First Instance of the High Court of the HKSAR, in which capacity she devotes part of her professional time to sit as a judge. Her other roles in public service include serving on the Board of Trustees of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund, member of the CE’s Council of Advisers on Innovation and Strategic Development, Co-chair Forum for Barristers and Advocates, International Bar Association (IBA), member of the West Kowloon Cultural District Board, member of the Law Reform Commission and member of the Hong Kong Tourism Board.
