HK Phil Audition Policy
The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra is a full-time, professional symphony orchestra comprised of 96 musicians, presenting a 44-week a season of approximately 120 concerts each year. These include classical subscription series, chamber concerts, education concerts, annual outdoors performance “Symphony Under the Stars” and international and regional tours.

Applicants are required to submit their application and audition video by the prescribed closing date through muvac.com for shortlisting. Successful candidates will be invited for live auditioning or trial weeks with the Orchestra.
Advise for freelance-musicians from Hong Kong
As a general practice local freelance players should pass an audition before joining the freelance pool of HK Phil. Professional local musicians are invited to send their curriculum to the Orchestra Personnel Manager at joseph.wong@hkphil.org. The Orchestral Operations Department will organize occasionally auditions for selected instruments and invite qualified applicants for audition.
