Oleksandr Pushniak
Born in Kiev, Ukraine, Olesksandr Pushniak graduated from the National Music Academy of Ukraine in Kiev, where he earned his degree in Music Performance as an opera and concert singer.
From 2008 to 2010, he participated in the Domingo-Cafritz Young Artists Program in Washington, D.C. (USA), singing a varied number of roles.
In 2012, Oleksandr Pushniak won First Prize and Audience Favorite at the Wagnerstimmen International
Singing Competition for Wagner Voices in Germany and, in 2013 he was invited to sing the role of Donner in Das Rheingold (Wagner) as his debut at the Bayreuth Festival.
Since 2011, he has been performing as a member of the Staatstheater Braunschweig (Germany).
Mr. Pushniak sings a variety of opera roles, including Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro, Mozart), Kurwenal
(Tristan und Isolde, Wagner), the role of Miller (Luisa Miller, Verdi), Don Carlo (Ernani, Verdi), Amonasro
(Aida, Verdi), Jochanaan (Salome, Strauss), Amfortas (Parsifal, Wagner) and many others.
In Ukraine, Oleksandr Pushniak sings with the National Philharmonic of Ukraine and the
Dnipropetrovsk Philharmonic.
In 2007, Pushniak was a Prize Winner of the ‘European Song Contest’ held at the Styriarte Music Festival in Austria and was semi finalist in the Domingo ‘Operalia‘ Vocal Competition held in Paris (France).
